Solstas and OnePartner Create New HIE (5/11/12)
For years, the ability to exchange secure, consistent and
seamless patient health information data between healthcare
providers was considered futuristic, a connectivity pipe
dream.
Thanks to collaboration between OnePartnerTM and Solstas Lab
PartnersSM, the future is now. Beginning immediately, physicians in
Tennessee, Virginia and North Carolina may sign up to participate
in the connectivity process. The OnePartner HIE will be fully
operational by mid-2012.
All regional physicians, hospitals and health care delivery
organizations are invited to join and share clinical diagnostic
health information. According to OnePartner President Scott R.
Fowler, JD, MD, the new HIE will create efficiency and connectivity
for the benefit of patients throughout the region.
The secure, electronic exchange of health information among
providers will, without a doubt, improve patient outcomes," said
Fowler. "With the OnePartner HIE, we're removing silos and
giving all members of a patient's care team access to the medical
information they need at the time and place they need it.
Truly, this is value creation."
Solstas CEO David Weavil says patient value creation is the
primary reason the
company is supporting the HIE project.
"This program represents the type of innovative partnership we
look for," said
Weavil. "Solstas is proud to be working side-by-side with Dr.
Fowler and regional
healthcare leaders to improve medical information availability to
all providers. If
our clients can spend less time on data, they can spend more time
with patients.
That's delivering real value at the patient level."
"With this launch," said Weavil, "we look forward to bringing
additional value to
medical communities."
